HELLO FROM CODY, WYOMING

It has been a quick trip but very successful! We arrived and the weather was beautiful. The people here were very friendly, and we set forth with the task of finding us a home.

We found that people don't want to rent to pet owners, and I can't blame them either. A few of the houses were ruined by animals that people didn't take care of and so they in turn ruined the houses.

We gathered our list of rentals that said "no pets" and drove by to look at them, and then we would call for an apt. Just around the corner from the motel we were staying at was one of the houses, we walked by the house on Marcie's nightly walk and just decided to see if it was the correct address>The lady answered the door and said yes, they were leaving next month and did we want to come in and look. We did!! We loved it!

The house was built in 1950>It was a doctor with 5 kids that designed and had it built. In 1960 they added on to the house moving the kitchen to the end of the house and adding a sitting room with a fireplace with windows and an incredidle view!! We ask them how serious the owner was about no dogs, they told us of other renters before them that had a large dog that ruined 3 doors and dug up the yard>>

This morning I brushed Marcie, put in her bow and matching harness and went to the rental agency and talked to them about the house, well its ours!!

One awesome thing is that in the basement there is a perfect room for shoe inventory a large fold down table for getting orders together for shipping and and a perfect room for all my bertbys and art that I have of Raine's.(that room is upstairs for my collection!)

Will catch up when I get home!!!

  1. So glad you found a place Artis. It sounds like it is just what you wanted and has lots of room for your shoes. Have a safe trip home. With moving and all you are surely going to be busy in the weeks to come.
