I DON'T KNOW, BUT

I am thinking these mugs don't have that handle so they fit down in your car cupholders, what do you think?

    Still don't think they would fit in my car holder...plus couldn't bring myself to risk taking a china cup on a car journey- LOL

    But I think you are right in your assumption
